with prayerful consideration and in an effort to exercise an abundance of caution, we have suspended our normal operations in and around the church building.
Worship- You can watch our worship service online at The Bridge at Hartford UMC on Facebook which is live-streamed Sunday mornings at 10am, and then saved so that people may watch the service at a later time.
Giving- many of you have asked how to donate or tithe. You may drop off your tithe at the church office Monday – Friday 8:30 am -1:30 pm or can mail it to Hartford UMC 425 E. Main St. Hartford, MI 49057. Our church also participates with direct deposit, Vanco, and Paypal on our website. (see the bottom of this page)
Missions- though we can’t come to the church building, we ARE the church and our mission always continues! The Cooperative Ministries Food Pantry accepts donations (monetary and food) and volunteers. We serve drive thru style, on Thursdays from 4-7pm. The Weekend Backpack Food Program gives backpacks full of food to children and their families in our communities. This mission also accepts volunteers and donations (monetary and food). For even more opportunities to serve during the pandemic, please see our “mission bingo” sheet on our blog tab that details mission and ministry opportunities in our community!
Prayer- As Christians, one of our most powerful tools is prayer. Will you join us in praying that God will lead us through this pandemic?
Dear God, today, we pray…
For those whose health is compromised by the corona virus or other health
issues. For those who suffer from the economic impact of the virus, in travel, manufacturing, hospitality, energy or so many other industries.
For health care workers and first responders, and other public servants who
put themselves in harm’s way for us. For our leaders of the world, our countries, states, and cities, as they seek to help manage this challenge.
God, it can be overwhelming. But you tell us over and over again not to be
afraid. Show us how to trust in you. As we examine our hearts this Lenten season, help us to turn our hearts, hands, and prayers toward the concerns of others. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen
